Save Japan Dolphins Day in Auckland on the 1st of September
To be held at 12 noon on the footpath outside 135 Albert Street - that's the enormous ASB building.
(The Japanese embassy is inside the ASB building.)

WHY?
Because those are dolphins in that boat and yes that's dolphin blood the boat is floating on.
And here's another reason. This video shows what they did to get around the problem of blood looking bad in photos. Personally, I prefer the blood.
Dolphins are sentient beings who, like we whales, swam the oceans tens of millions of years before humans came down from the trees. This is a marine planet and they are its true representatives.
LET ME KNOW BY A MESSAGE FROM MY CONTACTS PAGE IF YOU INTEND TO COME TO THE DEMONSTRATION.

More about the SaveJapanDolphins Organisation
Ric O'Barry is the director of SaveJapanDolphins.org, a campaign conducted by the International Marine Mammal Project of Earth Island Institute. SaveJapanDolphins was formed to put an end to the Japanese drive fishery slaughter of dolphins and stop the capture and live trade of dolphins to zoos and aquariums around the world.
Tui is the human who is helping me, Thunderflukes the Sperm Whale to organise Save Japan Dolphins Day.
Ric O'Barry made the documentary about dolphins but Tui has written the fiction story. The story is RIPPLE. Ripple is dedicated "to the dolphins of Taiji and any cetacean who has died or been imprisoned at the hand of man." Tui hopes that when the book is published it will change human attitudes to dolphins and show why we should be protecting dolphins and their ocean home. It is the twenty million year old story of how Ripple's love for Cosmo led her to make the one great achievement for which this planet is renowned.
- The work of Ric and the Save Japan Dolphins team was featured in the Oscar-winning documentary The Cove as well as in Animal Planet Channel's Blood Dolphin$ series.
- Save Japan Dolphins is active in creating worldwide pressure against the Japanese dolphin slaughter, generating petitions with more than 2 million signatures from 151 countries. The team is also involved in investigations and monitoring at the Cove and in exposing the toxic mercury in Japanese dolphin meat products.
